Emergency Contraception

No prescription or appointment needed.

$25 per pack (less expensive than most pharmacies)

Emergency contraception, often called the "Morning After Pill," is used to PREVENT pregnancy. It must be taken as soon as possible and within 120 hours (5 days) of unprotected intercourse. Its effectiveness decreases as time passes. It does not cause an abortion, but works to prevent an egg from being released or a sperm from fertilizing an egg.

Emergency contraception is not an abortion pill. To understand the difference, please read about the abortion pill HERE.

Emergency contraception is not intended for regular use, but may be used as needed. Those requiring ongoing contraception options should speak with their doctor.
